Appearance
Follow System, Always Dark, or Always Light
Theme selection and appearance policy are separate. Choosing a theme does not override Always Light or a light system appearance.
Follow System
Uses the selected Duskio theme when the device is in Dark Mode. When the device is in Light Mode, Duskio leaves webpages light.
Always Dark
Keeps supported webpages dark regardless of device appearance, using your selected Duskio theme.
Always Light
Leaves webpages light and does not apply dark themes. Your saved theme remains available when you switch back.

Compatibility
Three modes, kept simple
Websites are built in many different ways. Duskio includes three rendering modes so you can recover a difficult page without turning the extension off everywhere. Not every website will look perfect.
Standard
Best default for most websites. Applies the selected dark theme while preserving important media and branding.
Compatibility
Use when a website has unusual styles or components. It keeps more of the original styling while still reducing glare.
Safe Mode
A more conservative rendering mode for difficult websites. It makes fewer changes and prioritizes usability.
Privacy-first
Processed on your device
Settings and webpage processing remain local to the device. Duskio does not transmit your browsing history or webpage content to us.

- No advertising SDK, analytics backend, or telemetry is used by Duskio.
- Webpage styling happens locally in Safari after you grant website access.
- Website access lets Duskio restyle pages on your device. It does not mean browsing content is sent to the developer.
Get started
Set up in 3 simple steps
Safari controls extension enablement and website access. After that, Duskio is ready in the page menu.
Enable Duskio in Safari
Install Duskio, open Safari, then enable the extension from Manage Extensions.
Allow website access
Grant access to the sites you want darkened. Allowing Duskio on all websites gives the intended universal experience.
Choose a theme
Open a webpage and use the Duskio popup to set appearance, theme, and per-site options.

Common answers
Why is a website still light?
Confirm Duskio is enabled, website access is granted, This Website is on, and Appearance is not set to Always Light. If the device is in Light Mode and Follow System is selected, Duskio will not darken pages. Then reload the page.
What does Follow System mean?
Follow System uses the selected Duskio theme when the device is in Dark Mode. It leaves webpages light when the device is in Light Mode.
Why don’t themes apply in Always Light?
Always Light leaves webpages light and does not apply dark themes. Your theme stays saved for when you choose Follow System or Always Dark.
What does “Fix This Site” do?
It helps recover a page that looks wrong. Choose the issue you see, then try Compatibility, Safe Mode, turn Duskio off for that site, or restore Standard. The choice stays on your device.
