Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Duskio handles information when you use the Duskio app and Safari extension on iPhone and iPad. Duskio is a utility that restyles webpage presentation in Safari. You can contact the developer of Duskio at support@duskio.net.

This policy covers Duskio. It does not describe how Apple, Safari, or third-party websites collect or use data.

2. Information Duskio Does Not Collect

Duskio does not transmit your browsing history or webpage content to us. Duskio does not currently use an advertising SDK, analytics backend, telemetry, remote browsing-history collection, runtime cloud translation, or server-side webpage processing. Duskio does not require an account, and it does not currently include a subscription or third-party advertising tracking.

In particular, Duskio is not designed to send us page text, passwords, form values, cookies, screenshots, or the contents of the websites you visit.

3. Safari Website Access

Safari requires a Web Extension to request website access before it can read or modify a page. Duskio needs that access to apply dark-mode transformations on authorized websites. Website access is a Safari permission, granted and managed by you in Safari or iOS Settings.

Website access does not mean Duskio sends browsing content to the developer. It means the extension is allowed to process the page locally so it can change how that page looks on your device. Safari itself may apply its own permissions, security, and system behaviors; those are controlled by Apple, not by Duskio.

4. Local Processing

Processing required to apply webpage appearance occurs locally on your device. When you authorize Duskio for a website, the extension restyles eligible page presentation inside Safari. Images, video, and other preserved elements are handled on-device as part of that visual transformation.

Duskio does not operate a cloud service that receives or rewrites the pages you browse.

5. Local Preferences

Duskio stores preferences locally on your device so your choices persist. The app and Safari extension use an Apple App Group to keep those local settings in sync on the same device.

Local settings may include:

• theme
• appearance mode
• website-specific preferences
• language
• compatibility mode

Website-specific preferences are stored for sites you explicitly configure, such as turning Duskio off for one domain or choosing Compatibility or Safe Mode. Duskio does not build a browsing-history list from the sites you visit.

If you use Fix This Site, the selected issue is saved only on the device to help recommend a recovery option. Nothing is uploaded to us.

6. Third-Party Services

This website is a static marketing and support site. Duskio itself does not currently integrate advertising networks, analytics SDKs, crash-reporting backends, or social tracking pixels.

If you contact us by email, your message is delivered through ordinary email infrastructure. We use the information you choose to send only to respond to your request. Do not include passwords or private webpage content in support mail.

When Duskio is distributed on the App Store, Apple provides store, download, and device services under Apple’s own terms and privacy practices.

7. Children

Duskio does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The product does not create accounts or profile users. If you believe a child has sent personal information to support@duskio.net, contact us and we will delete that correspondence.

8. Data Security

Because Duskio keeps settings and webpage processing on the device, the primary protection is the security of your iPhone or iPad, including the passcode, Safari permissions, and operating-system protections provided by Apple. We do not operate a Duskio account database of browsing activity.

No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure. Please keep your device updated and review Safari extension permissions if you no longer want Duskio to restyle websites.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the product changes. The effective date at the top of this page will change when a revision is published. Continued use of Duskio after an update means you should review the revised policy.
